1. Information Collection and On-Device Processing

FontCraft is designed with a privacy-first, offline-capable architecture.

A. Your Drawings, Fonts, and Scans (100% Local Processing)

• Vector Artwork & Custom Glyphs: All vector paths, handwritten glyphs, font projects, and .ttf (TrueType) files you create are processed and stored locally on your device.
• Handwriting Sheet Scans: Any camera captures or gallery photos of handwriting templates are analyzed and vectorized directly on your device. We never upload, view, or store your photos, handwriting, or font files on any external cloud server.

B. Automatically Collected Data (Via Third-Party SDKs)

While we do not collect personal identifying information ourselves, third-party libraries integrated into the app may collect certain standard analytical data:

• Device identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID / GAID)
• Device model, operating system version, and screen resolution
• App performance, crash analytics, and diagnostic logs

2. Device Permissions Required

FontCraft requests only the permissions strictly necessary to provide its core typography features:

• Camera Permission (android.permission.CAMERA):
  • Purpose: Used only when you choose to scan physical handwriting templates using the sheet scanner.
  • Data Handling: Camera frames are processed strictly in real-time on-device. Images are never transmitted over the internet.
• Storage / Media Access:
  • Purpose: Required to let you select a template image from your photo gallery and to save your compiled .ttf TrueType font files directly to your device's standard storage (such as the Downloads folder).

3. Third-Party Services and Advertising (Google AdMob)

To provide FontCraft as a free application, we display advertisements served by Google AdMob.

Google AdMob may collect and process information to personalize and serve ads, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud. This information may include:

• IP Address
• Unique device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID)
• General approximate location (network-level)
• User interactions with displayed advertisements

FontCraft does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Our application is a general-purpose font creation utility. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information to third-party ad services through our app, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Because all your projects, drawings, and fonts reside locally in your device's private application storage:

• You have complete control over your content. You can delete individual font projects or clear all project data inside the app at any time.
• Uninstalling the application removes all local app project data from your device.

6. Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Because your creative work never leaves your device, your fonts and handwriting remain private to you. For data collected by third-party services (such as Google AdMob), industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) is employed during transmission.
